01

Choosing the Platform and Migrating the Products

On the e-commerce side of our Web Design & Software service, the first decision is the platform.

WooCommerce runs on the WordPress core, so it brings content and blog management into one panel; Shopify offers a ready-made SaaS environment but is limited on customisation, while bespoke software is the choice for high-volume stores with complex workflows. The decision comes down to the number of products, how complex the variations are and what integration is needed with the existing accounting system. Migrating from an existing system is a discipline of its own. Titles, descriptions, images, prices, stock codes and category mappings are moved in bulk through a CSV or XML feed; the URL structure is preserved wherever possible to avoid losing search visibility. After the migration every product record is checked by hand.

Payments, Shipping and Abandoned Basket Automation

Setting up a payment gateway needs API-level integration with the bank or payment institution the business has an agreement with; TasarımMania builds the infrastructure technically and tests the instalment and 3D Secure flows, but the bank contract and the commission negotiation run directly between the business and the payment institution. More than one bank's gateway can be set up on the same site. On the shipping side the aim is to remove manual data entry: the carrier's module passes the order details across automatically, the tracking number goes back to the customer automatically, and stock is updated according to delivery status. For abandoned baskets, the system sends the visitor who left an email or SMS reminding them what's in their basket; performance is tracked from the admin panel. Distance selling obligations are set out in the Ministry of Trade's e-commerce regulations .

The boxes and images are an example interface drawing, not taken from a real store; the rows on the payment card are the setup items described above (payment gateway, instalments, multiple banks) — the payment methods the store offers its customers are set by the business's own bank agreement. The basket total deliberately carries no amount: we don't publish price figures on this page, so for the current band see the pricing link below.

For the current price and timeline band , look at the pricing section on the Web Design & Software page — you can settle the band for your scope in two minutes.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions: e-commerce store setup and management

Which platform should an e-commerce store be built on — WooCommerce, Shopify or bespoke software?

The choice comes down to the size of the product catalogue, how complex the variations are and what integration with existing systems is needed. WooCommerce is often preferred by marketing-led businesses because it brings content and blog management into the same panel; bespoke software is recommended on high-volume projects.

How do you migrate my products from an existing system to the new site?

Product titles, descriptions, images, prices and stock data are exported from the existing store as a CSV or XML feed, then the categories and variations are mapped and everything is uploaded to the new site in bulk. The URL structure is preserved wherever possible so search rankings aren't affected. After the migration every record is checked by hand.

Who sets up the payment gateway, and which banks do you work with?

The gateway contract and the commission negotiation run between the business and the bank; TasarımMania integrates the infrastructure technically and tests the instalment and 3D Secure flows. More than one bank can be set up on the same site.

Is the shipping integration automatic, or do we enter each consignment by hand?

In the standard flow the carrier's module passes the order details across automatically, the tracking number goes back to the customer automatically, and stock is updated according to delivery status. Manual entry is only used for exceptional or specially agreed orders. The automation is configured at setup around the carriers the business works with.

How does recovering abandoned baskets work?

A visitor who leaves without completing the payment step is sent an automatic email or SMS reminding them what's in their basket. The message can be backed up with a specific incentive code; recovery performance is tracked from the admin panel.

After launch, do we manage the store or do you?

The post-launch management model is set by what the business prefers; adding products, updating campaigns and tracking orders can be handed to the business's own team, or TasarımMania can carry on with that work under maintenance. In either case, training and documentation are provided. The scope and the split of responsibility are settled in the pricing section.

The detail

If you'd like to look before deciding

  1. 01

    Product Management and Stock Synchronisation

Product records are managed with bulk editing tools; stock levels, variation combinations and price updates can all be done from one screen. Stock data coming from the supplier's system is kept current through automatic synchronisation, so a product that has run out doesn't stay on sale.

  2. 02

    Security and Payment Compliance

Payment pages are encrypted with an SSL certificate and card details aren't stored on the site; the transaction happens directly on the bank's or the payment institution's secure infrastructure. The gateway integration is built to current security standards, including 3D Secure verification.

  3. 03

    What Support Covers After Launch

Once the site is delivered, technical problems, plugin updates and integration faults are handled under support. While the business runs its own product and campaign management, the underlying infrastructure is looked after by TasarımMania. The limits of the support scope are stated in the pricing section.
